Locality: Florida Caverns State Park, Jackson County. Large population growing in two disjunct groups. Larger group is growing on the outcrops along Bluff Trail near the mouth of the cave. The smaller group is growing ca. 40 m north (This group is most accessible from the road to the campground, approximately 50 m east of the Chipola River).

Environment description: Limestone outcrops above Taxodium distichum dominated swamp.
Number of plants sampled: 27
Associated species: Magnolia grandiflora, Acer sp., Fagus grandifolia, Sabal minor, Smilax sp., Aquilegia canadensis, Pinus glabra, Carya glabra, Urtica dioica.
Comment: Large population, abundant but localized to the outcrops above the cypress swamp. Collections made from 27 distinct plants across an area spanning latitude 30.809561 deg. N to 30.817713 deg. N and longitude 85.226546 deg. W to 85.230815 deg. W (approximately 50 acres). The GPS coordinates provided refer to NA 86152.01/acc. 126, the first plant sampled in the population. GPS coordinates for other sampled plants in the population are available upon request (NA 86152.01 through 86152.27).
