Environment description: Semi-circular meadow with a stream coming down the mountain and crossing the road.
Comment: The very large population of Rudbeckia were immediately apparent; these seemed behind in development compared to others seen earlier; there were full flowers and nice green foliage; the higher elevation and constant moisture had perhaps not stressed the plants out. There were some mature heads from about a dozen plants that were collected.
