Environment description: semi-open hardwood forest; maple, oak, birch, ferns, Vaccinium palllidum, V. angustifolium, dwarf V. stamineum, Gaultheria procumbens, Galax, herbs, ferns, mosses, lichens
Comment: upright open shrub, no flowers or fruit, crown forming with a few stems. PL: might be simulatum with large leaves because of the nuber of sprouts from the crown and the extent of the apparent clone. JRB: corymbosum and simulatum look very similar morphologically but have different phenology. PL lumps two together
