Narrative
Seeds from wild plants from 130 source populations in the intermountain west were collected in June of 2007. Seed zones were developed as described by Johnson et al., 2014. (https://www.fs.fed.us/wwetac/threat-map/seedZones/doc/Johnson%20pose%202015.pdf) Seeds from 106 of the original populations, representing 8 of the 12 seed zones were planted for regeneration in 2016. Each population was planted in a double-row plot 16 meters long and were separated from populations from other seed zones by at least 50 meters. The number of populations varied with each seed zone, and the number of plants harvested varied in each population due to winter survival. All seeds from all plants from each population were harvested and selected populations were combined to form seed zone accessions by the state in which they were collected.
