Fruit collected from plant along road from Ta Van commune to Sapa (Sa Pa, Lào Cai, Vietnam) on 25 July, 2017. Taxon description from collector: Trees semi-evergreen or deciduous, to 2-3 m tall. Branchlets purplish brown or blackish brown when old. Inflorescences 5 fl, petals white, filament white, anther yellow.
