Associated species: Rhus aromatica and Schizachyrium scoparium. Noted numerous Gymnocladus dioicus, Sapindus saponaria var. drummondii, Juglans microcarpa, Cornus drummondii, Sideroxylon lanuginosum and Celtis spp. in immediate area. Noted numerous Ulmus rubra throughout nearby Brokenleg Creek.

Comment: Collection made as cuttings. Specimen sampled measuring 27.75" d.b.h., 60' spread and 20' tall. Referred to as the "praire form" of Ulmus americana. Specimen sampled (13 March 2018) approximately 5-7 days past peak flowering.
