Locality: Pinellas County, in the City of Olsdmar's, Sheffield Park, disk golf course, especially by the tee for hole #14, but also on piles of fill dirt to the NE.

Environment description: In an area distrubed by construction of a concrete disk golf tee. Occasional flooding by Tampa Bay water is indicated by flotsam under the plants.

Narrative
A mixed population of Echinochloa walteri and E. crus-galli. The two species were inadvertantley collected together on November 2, 2017, and later collected at almost the same location as a pure E. walteri seed sample on June 25, 2018. As noted November 2, 2017: Plants 1 to 1.5 m tall. Most of the seeds collected were not yet mature so a collection two weeks later would have been better. As noted June 25, 2018: Plants 1.5 m tall, early in seed maturity. The sheaths distinctly hirsute, we did not collect from the associated plants with glabrous sheaths.
