Environment description: South edge of fire break. Flat meadow with scattered small trees. Entire ridge top was Quercus stellata & Q. acerifolia.
Comment: Description: Acorns small and green. No other red oak group species found near this collection. Associated Taxa: Ptelea trifoliata, Carya tomentosa, Chionanthus virginicus, Solidago sp., Helianthus divaricatus, and Amelanchier sp. Collected with D.H. Ardrey and M. Ecker (The Dawes Arboretum).
