Locality: Castor River State Forest approximately 3.5 miles west of Grassy in western Bollinger County.

Environment description: Mostly open and some moderately closed oak woodlands, generally ridgetops on west or south-facing slopes.
Number of plants sampled: 75
Associated species: Quercus alba, Quercus velutina, Quercus stellata, Helianthus hirsutus, Carex hirsutella, Lespedeza procumbens, Sassafras albidum, Rubus ablatus (only at area #4), and Parthenocussus quinquefolia.
Comment: Seed samples obtained from 6 areas all approximatley 3.5 miles west, northwest or southwest of Grassy. Greatest distance between two sites samples is 7.65 miles.
