Environment description: Collection site is in Omernik Ecoregion Level IV- Foothill Shrubland-Grasslands(16f).

Associated species: Artemisia tridentata, Purshia tridentata, Poa bulbosa, Poa secunda, Elymus elymoides.
Comment: Original seed collected in 2006 from 9 plants as individuals(65-300 seed per plant, 1325 seed total. Seed was started in 2007 for molecular marker work. The 39 surviving seedlings were saved for regeneration and tranplanted to the field in spring 2009.
