Locality: At the Richfield turn off of Hwy 75, near Shoshone Ice Caves. Additional populations farther south before canal on east side of road, just before Shoshone. N43.96280 W114.4004

Environment description: Collection site flat, lava rock soil with rocky surface, and is well drained. Site in a lava field. No grazing evident. Site is in Omernik Ecoregion, Level IV - Eastern Snake River Basalt Plains (12g).
Number of plants sampled: 20
Associated species: Artemisia tridentata, Poa secunda, Bromus tectorum, Poa pratensis, Eriogonum umbelatum.
Comment: Original seed collected in 2006 from 20 plants as individuals(5-60 seed per plant, 313 seed total). Seed was started in 2007 for molecular marker work. The 18 surviving seedlings were saved for regeneration and tranplanted to the field in spring 2009.
