Locality: Arc of Appalachia Preserve System: Highlands Nature Sanctuary, on trails across Rocky Fork Creek from Cedar Run Trail.

Environment description: Deciduous forest over limestone.
Associated species: Fagus grandifolia; Quercus sp.; Sassafras albidum; Fraxinus sp.; Toxicodendron sp.; Polystichum acrostichoides; Parthenocissus quinquefolia; Hepatica acutiloba; undetermined (Poaceae)
