Environment description: Partial shade along the river on small sand berm above the stream in mixed deciduous and broadleaved evergreen maritime forest occasionally inundated by tidal salt water.

Comment: DESCRIPTION: Multi-stemmed deciduous shrub with upright spreading habit approximately 10 ft. tall. Plant has large trusses of stipitate glandular white flowers with a pink tube and prominent yellow blotch.
