Environment description: Common on rocks at high tide line in thickets with Lespedeza, Castanopsis, on southeast-facing side of island, sea level.
Comment: DESCRIPTION: Dense twiggy broadleaved evergreen shrub ca. 3 m tall, with many stems from the base forming dense thickets; stems brown or purplish brown; leaves lustrous medium green above, dull yellow-green with dark reticulations beneath; petioles red; fruit obovoid or ellipsoid, purplish-red, with slight bloom, 9 mm long, 8 mm diameter.; SUB-COUNTRY GEO 1: Jeollanam-do; SUB-COUNTRY GEO 2: Wando-gun; SUB-COUNTRY GEO 3: Wando-eup; GEOGRAPHIC AREA: Wando (island), Judo (island); COLLECTOR'S NUMBER: KSW 3880;
