Environment description: Woodland bordering a trail in shady area, as well as in brighter low spots.
Associated species: Acer rubrum; Liquidambar styraciflua; Quercus spp.; Liriodendron tulipifera; Ilex opaca; Pinus taeda; Smilax sp.; Toxicodendron radicans; undetermined (fern)

Started collecting in shady area along trail. Encountered brighter low spot and plants were much more robust and laden with fruit.;
