Locality: Arc of Appalachia Preserve System: Highlands Nature Sanctuary, Kamelands Trail off of Route 50, under large oaks in woodland adjacent to sapling-filled oil field.
Habitat: Wild Habitat
Environment description: Along the edge of the trail under large oaks (very large Quercus rubra) in deciduous woodland adjacent to sapling-filled oil field.
Associated species: Quercus rubra; Quercus sp.; Fraxinus sp.; Carya sp.; Solidago caesia; Vaccinium sp.
Comment: DESCRIPTION: Yellow flowers over slightly variegated leaves.; SUB-COUNTRY GEO 2: Highland County; SUB-COUNTRY GEO 3: Rainsboro; COLLECTOR'S NUMBER: FV-14-22; MISCELLANEOUS INFORMATION ABOUT WILD COLLECTION: Growing in typical circumstances along the edge of the trail. Many tree saplings (Quercus, Fraxinus, Carya, small grass-like plants, Solidago caesia, Vaccinium, and mostly growing out of mossy edge of trail nearby in oil field. Seeds, one plant, and herbarium specimen collected.;
