Locality: Collected near fish hatchery site noted in paper - small creek below Bald Mountain

Environment description: along mostly dry stream bed
Associated species: Rhododendron maximum; Oxydendrum arboreum; Liriodendron tulipifera; Acer rubrum; Tsuga sp.; Ilex opaca; Pinus strobus; Kalmia latifolia; Cornus florida; Leucothoe fontanesiana; Quercus alba
Comment: DESCRIPTION: Plants are sparse and small (~1" diameter leaves or smaller). Nothing else herbaceous under Rhodies. Few seeds, ones found were in a more robust clump that received more light and was above stream bank.; SUB-COUNTRY GEO 2: McDowell County; COLLECTOR'S NUMBER: FV-20-08;
