Environment description: Along small stream traversing transmission line right of way. South of stream with Cehphalanthus. Elevation: ca 200 feet.
Associated species: Clethra alnifolia; Rubus sp.; Smilax sp.; Ilex sp.; Eupatorium sp.; Lonicera japonica
Comment: Shrubs 10-12 ft. tall. Most leaves on mature stems have fallen, some leaves on immature plants. There were about 50-100 plants. In this case Alnus was the most common shrub. Two herbarium specimens collected.
