Environment description: Light shade along the river on a small sandy berm above the stream in mixed deciduous and broadleaved evergreen maritime forest occasionally inundated by tidal salt water.

Comment: DESCRIPTION: Multi-stemmed deciduous shrub with upright spreading habit approximately 10 ft. tall. Plant has large trusses of stipitate glandular deep orange flowers with a tube suffused with rose.
