Locality: Collected at top of pass. Drove from Jianshi to Enshi, driving to a forestry research station en route at about 4000 feet, after having driven up to 4800 feet and then back down on very narrow, steep and bumpy road. [...] We collected roadside after leaving the trail momentarily and heading up a ridge that was mostly Cryptomeria plantation.

The rest of the crew were meant to measure the diameter of 3 specimens of Davidia. We collected roadside after leaving the trail momentarily and heading up a ridge that was mostly Cryptomeria plantation. Epimediums remarkably prominent throughout the area.
