Locality: White River approximately 1.77 miles north of the confluence with Buzzards Lake River [and Little Simpson River] in the Escambia River State Wildlife Management Area.

Environment description: Part shade along the river on a small sandy berm above the stream in mixed deciduous and broadleaved evergreen maritime forest occasionally inundated by tidal salt water.

Comment: DESCRIPTION: Multi-stemmed deciduous shrub with spreading habit of approximately 6 ft. but hanging out over the river than standing up [rather than standing up, or then standing up?]. Plant has trusses of stipitate glandular white flowers with a prominent yellow blotch and a pale pink tube. The strong yellow blotch gives the flowers a pale yellowish white effect.
