Environment description: org. site represents a disjunct population site where species was reported in 1987 to be nearly extinct.
Comment: SUB-COUNTRY GEO 2: Nanjing; COLLECTOR'S NUMBER: TRD 45401; MISCELLANEOUS INFORMATION ABOUT WILD COLLECTION: Dudley's notes on bot. gdn. plt.: Small tree 6-8m; crown spread ca 4-5m; capsules reddish-purple. Very rare tall shrub or small tree. Species assigned to category 2 in Chinese "Red Book";
