Comment: SUB-COUNTRY GEO 1: Gyeongsangbuk-do; SUB-COUNTRY GEO 2: Ulleung-gun; SUB-COUNTRY GEO 3: Ulleung-eup, Jeodong-ri; GEOGRAPHIC AREA: Ulleungdo (Ullung Island); MISCELLANEOUS INFORMATION ABOUT WILD COLLECTION: "When fruits of Tsuga sieboldii were collected, it was green and not opened. I left it a few days in my office to dry, and sent you 100 fruits." -- Nam Sook Lee. Note: The three parent trees of this accession were growing at the school and were themselves of wild origin, from the island. Because there was nothing else in the area to pollinate them, they themselves truly represent a 'Z' [indirect from wild] provenance, even if they were of seed. [note from Arnold Arboretum data];
