Environment description: Deciduous woods.
Number of plants sampled: 1
Associated species: Acer saccharum, and Tilia americana.
Comment: Relatively abundant throughout area along Little Miami River, both in lower floodplain and along steep rocky cliffs. Majority of specimens showing signs of damage due to thin canopy (50% or less) and minimal (less than 2" (average)) annual growth. Numerous specimens approaching 100' in height.

Environment description: Top of limestone cliff of gorge
Number of plants sampled: 10
Associated species: Thuja occidentalis, Quercus muehlenbergii, and Acer saccharum
Comment: Seedlings measuring 3-8 inches tall; leaves turning yellow at time of collection; stems with four ridges. All seedlings sampled within a 10 meter area with an average distance between samples of approximately 2-3 meters. Collection also assisted by Kady Wilson, Tom Arbor, Alex Faidiga, and Sarah Macy.
