Locality: Strait Creek Prairie Bluffs Preserve between Peebles and Sinking Spring along highway 41 (Crooked Creek, Strait Creek and Scioto Brush Creek watersheds), Adams and Highland County

Habitat: Wild Habitat
Environment description: Mixed deciduous woods, generally on top of moist seep, but also on rocky gentle (30-45 degree) slopes.
Number of plants sampled: 5
Associated species: Growing in association with Fraxinus americana, Celtis occidentalis, Juniperus virginiana, Juglans nigra, Quercus muehlenbergii, and Cercis canadensis.
Comment: Species rather rare in area, localized. Specimens sampled from three watersheds in northeast corner of Adams County. Greatest distance between two samples was 6.4 miles.
