Environment description: Rocky cliff.

Associated species: Growing in association with Ulmus rubra, Juniperus virginiana, Quercus alba, and Cercis canadensis.
Comment: Extremely localized to less than 1 acre and few to no additional specimens noted in area. Specimens noted on extremely rocky, rough terrain with stunted growth likely due to habitat conditions.
