Environment description: Mixed wooded deciduous forests, including dry, rocky areas with shallow substrate, steep (65 degree +) slopes, and base of slopes, generally with underground seeps.
Number of plants sampled: 8
Associated species: Growing in association with Juniperus virginiana, Ulmus rubra, Fraxinus americana, Celtis sp., Symphoricarpos orbiculatus, Quercus muehlenbergii, Impatiens sp., Lonicera maackia, and Parthenocissus sp.
Comment: Scattered specimens, somewhat common and moderately localized. Many specimens over 80' in height.
