Locality: Weldon Wagon Trail. Outside of White Salmon, WA off Elderberry Lane. Park at the trail head ans walk the trail. The site is in the White Salmon Oak Natural Resources Conservation Area.

Environment description: Southwest-facing porous volcanic topsoil with low incidence of basalt scree/talus and bedrock; no nearby suface water, but sparse dry shallow drainages suggest occasional winter run-off. Steep grassy slope bounded above, below, and laterally by white oak savannah or scrubby woodlands.
Number of plants sampled: 16
Comment: Seed collected from a 5000 sq meter area with approx. 100 plants. Only about 5% or fewer of the plants produced seed and much of the seed had already fallen.
