Environment description: Southwest-facing sparse basalt scree embedded in porous volcanic topsoil; seasonal seeps along upper edge of open space but no surface run-off. Steep grassy slope bounded above and below by brushy oak or fir woodland and punctuated at intervals with vertical strips of scrubby white oak
Number of plants sampled: 34
Comment: Seed collected from a 6000 sq meter area with hundreds of plants. Only about 5% or fewer of the plants produced seed and much of the seed had already fallen.
