Narrative
This doubled haploid line was developed as part of the USDA-ARS GEM Allelic Diversity project in partnership with Iowa State University to capture genes and traits from a highland accession of the race Yunquilano from Ecuador in a stiff stalk temperate elite background. It  is derived from a backcross to the temperate elite parent without agronomic trait selection. In theory, 25% of its alleles may derive from the exotic parent.
