Narrative
A seedling hawthorn tree with unusual yellow speckled leaf variegations was discovered growing in the roadside fence line along Cardwell Hill Drive, about 8 miles west of Philomath, Oregon. There are scattered European hawthorn seedlings growing in the woods nearby, and this is likely an open pollinated seedling from a ferile tree nearby.
