Environment description: Sandy savanna.
Associated species: Quercus stellata, Carya pallida, Quercus marilandica, Opuntia humifusa, Toxicodendron pubescens, Zanthoxylum americanum, Diodea teres, and Andropogon ternarius.
Comment: Group of approximately 100 stems, 2 fertile, with an estimated total of 200 fruits between the two fertile plants. Most were small seedling regeneration, less than 7 feet tall, but 3 plants were approximatley 20 feet in height, with a d.b.h. of nearly 3 inches. Many fruits dropped with light shaking of tree, others were pulled (09/14/2016).
