Locality: SW of Quilchena, 12 km SE of junction of Pennask Lake Road and Hwy 5A, turn E for 2 km, left 1 km through gate, around exclosure on E-facing, 5-10° slope with stony colluvial soils. Common on grassy slopes. Douglas ir, aspen forest surrounding open areas. Achillea, rough fescue, Koeleria cristata, bluebunch wheatgrass, rabbitbrush.
