Locality: About 5 miles NE of Cold Springs, take Alpine exit off Hwy 50 between mile-marker 85-86 onto "Old Overland Route." From Hwy, 1.6 miles to first ranch continue to 5.7 miles to second ranch and at 6.9 miles turn E up War Canyon. At fork in road turn left up South Fork and go about 13.1 miles to saddle overlooking Box Canyon. Plants on saddle and into burned canyon that faces N and E. T20N R36E Sec14E.
