Environment description: Subalpine forest combined with Rhododendron scrub. Slope: 15 to 20 percent. Aspect: Northwest.
Number of plants sampled: 60
Associated species: Fagus orientalis; Acer heldreichii subsp. trautvetteri (listed as A. trautvetteri); Sorbus aucuparia (listed as s. boissieri); Corylus avellana; Betula litwinowii.
Comment: Shrubs to 1-1.3 m tall. Seed collected from 60 individuals. 2500+ seeds [collectors might mean seed pods, given the number of individuals and likely number of seeds per pod] and one herbarium voucher collected.
