Locality: Oconto County, Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest, Lakewood-Laona Ranger District, Glocke Lake. From the intersection of State Highway 32 and County Highway T in townsend, go east on Village View Drive 0.1 miles, then north on Pickerel lake Road 0.9 miles, then east on North gluckie Lake Trail 0.6 miles, then southeast on Gluckie Lake Trail (unmarked) about 0.25 miles to an old logging road on the west. Park on the roadside and walk southwest 0.1 miles to the lake. Samples were collected from a bog mat around Glocke Lake.

Environment description: Open bog mat with scattered stunted black spruce and tamarack. Sphagnum hummocks with leatherleaf and Labrador tea and wetter flat areas. The best fruit production was from areas where the bog mat was relatively less hummocky, but cranberry plants were present in the open bog around the entire perimeter of the lake. The best fruit production was along the NE corner of the lake. Both V. macrocarpon and V. oxycoccos are present and growing together.

Comment: Plant description: Typical for species. Fruit present and typical. Type of propagule collected: fruit Notes: Evaluation of location’s suitability as an in situ genetic reserve: Ease of access: easy; Distance from other populations: unknown; Perceived health of population: robust. People occasionally cross the bog to access the lake for hunting and fishing. Also, there is occasional use for observing nature, such as viewing butterflies and bog plants. USFS land management designation of site is MA 8F Special Management Area in the 2004 Forest Plan. Also designated Wisconsin State Natural Area #304. Leaves were collected for DNA analysis from this site in 2014 with collector id USFS-CNNF-2014-3.
