In the common wheat variety Lassik (PVP No. 200800176) we introgressed loss-of-function mutations in the linked paralogous copies of SBEII genes, SBEIIa and SBEIIb, in both the A and B genome (SBEIIa/b-AB). The A and B genome a/b mutants were introgressed from tetraploid wheat lines PI 670159 and PI 670161, respectively, by four backcrosses to Lassik. Mutations were combined by crossing.
