Taxonomic Determination :
In a short-day greenhouse, planted 1/11/2021 and flowering 6/25/2021 so probably daylength neutral. 2021.
Taxonomic Determination :
This is similar to four accessions of Chenopodium berlandieri from the Tampa Bay area of Florida (PI 688212, PI 689074, PI 689075, PI 689076). They have uncertain varietal assignment since they resemble this accession: Ames 33003 (BYU 14110) which is classified as Chenopodium berlandieri Moq. subsp. berlandieri var. macrocalycium. However, all five of these accessions have much smaller seeds than typical Chenopodium berlandieri Moq. subsp. berlandieri var. macrocalycium as collected on the New England coast (for example PI 700342). David Brenner decided to retain the Chenopodium berlandieri Moq. subsp. berlandieri var. macrocalycium classification until more information is available to resolve their classification; they could be an un-named subspecies (January 2023).
