Environment description: Upland, gentle bluffs. Deciduous woods. Growing on west and southwest-facing slopes at approximately 0 to 45 degrees. Growing in association with Quercus alba, Quercus velutina, Quercus rubra, Acer saccharum, and Sassafras albidum.

Bright red fruits approximately 10mm in length. One specimen close to 30' in height and 25' spread. Sampled three specimens all within a quarter mile.
