Locality: Fern Cliff County Park located approximatley 3.75 miles west, southwest of Crawfordsville. T74N R7W extreme north edge of SE 1/4 Sec. 24, Washington County.
Coordinates: 41.1999, -91.6074 (Map it)
Elevation: 200m.
Georeference protocol: Lat/lon determined by GPS
Environment description: Steep north-facing slopes on loose soils approximatley 15-20' from edge of Crooked Creek. Growing in association with Tilia americana, Rubus sp., Ribes sp., Diervilla lonicera, Cornus alternifolia (few), Betula nigra, Aesculus glabra, Quercus alba, Quercus rubra, Amelanchier arborea, Toxicodendron radicans, Acer saccharum, and Ostrya virginiana.
Number of plants sampled: 2
Comment: Sampled cuttings from likely a single clonal patch of approximately 50-60 stems covering a 5 x 10 yard area. Two specimens sampled were from the extreme eastern and western edges of the patch. No other C. rugosa noted in immediate/surrounding area.
