Narrative
Reintroduction of
RRUT 530
. Two accessions (RRUT 533 and
RRUT 534
) of
Citrus macroptera
were received that may be more verifiable than
RRUT 192
. According to the donor (email received 2014-01-30) "The budsticks were taken from trees at BRS that had been grown at BRS from seed. Seed for 10Q087 [= RRUT 533] was received and sown on 13th May 2010. Seed for 14Q002 [=RRUT 534] was received and sown on 31st August 2010. The seed from both PNG and New Caledonia germinated well, and we had heaps of seedlings of each. They were very uniform morphologically. We randomly chose the seedlings 10Q087 and 14Q002 from each batch of seedlings." Passport data received with the budwood stated "Source tree at Bundaberg Research Station has flowered (2013) but not fruited. This is a truely wild accession of this species." (RR Krueger, 2015-03-05)
