Locality: Camp Winnataska in woodlands along the west side of Kelly Creek; near dirt bike trail about 0.42 miles west of Shaw Road.
Coordinates: 33.5561, -86.4313 (Map it)
Elevation: 524m.
Comment: Deciduous woodlands in shade of the canopy; in dry, well-drained, sandy loam soil. Seed collected from many individuals. Plants were found in small groups along the creek moving northward for several hundred yards. These fruits are particularly large.
