Environment description: Mesic deciduous forest, small tree meadow. Rocky face with very little soil. Growing in association with Sorbus koehneana, Betula costata, Salix spp., and Berberis spp.

Comment: Open shrub, height 1.5 meters; Bark - red-brown on first year, brown on older wood; Leaves - elliptic, entire margins - 0.5 centimeters wide by 1.5 centimeters long; Fruit - panicle. Collected from several plants.
