Environment description: Moist, sunny seeps throughout mesic, mixed deciduous/coniferous forest; NE facing valley with steep slopes; long, cool ravine/gorge, 45 degrees, NNW, Rich, organic, Growing in association with Abies chensiensis, Picea, Acer spp., Sorbus discolor, Euptelea pleiosperma, Tsuga chinensis
Comment: Perennial. Height: 1 m. Leaves: large, palmately compound; 50 cm in diameter. Fruit: brown racemes., One (1) herbarium specimen collected.
