Locality: Along small gravel road heading north along Birch Stream from the Stillwater River boat landing on Southgate Road, Old Town, Penobscot County, Maine

Environment description: Open, seasonally wet woods. Growing in association with Quercus rubra, Fraxinus pennsylvanica, Ilex verticillata, Viburnum nudum, Crataegus sp., Myrica gale, Rhodora canadense, Betula sp, and Acer saccharinum.
Number of plants sampled: 12
Comment: Several dozen plants on edge of woods. Fruits varied in color from entirely blue to blue and white. No obvious signs of insect or disease problems.
