Environment description: Virgin, wet remnant prairie. Floyd loam (1-4 percent slopes) depth to water table 12-42 inches, 0-24 inches: loam, somewhat poorly drained
Number of plants sampled: 40
Associated species: Calamagrostis canadensis, Gentian andrewsii, Solidago canadense, Spartina pectinata, Carex spp. and Salix spp.
Comment: Pods mostly brown, some mottled with green, a very few yet green. A mix of open, partly open, and some yet closed pods. Specimens sampled in nature ranged in height from ~60 to 100 cm, max. Leaves pretty much gone.
