Locality: Collected in Lawrence Co., Alabama, T8S R9W, very close to the center of section 22.

Habitat: Wild Habitat
Environment description: Trees growing on the bank of Thompson Creek (overhanging) in Bankhead National Forest. Growing in association with Asiminia triloba, Lindera benzoin, Carpinus caroliniana, Ulmus sp., Liriodendron tuliperifera, Acer negundo, and Aesculus parviflora. Few Juglans nigra growing in the area.
Number of plants sampled: 1
Comment: Nuts harvested from one specimen. The other specimens did not look to be in good health and no fruits were observed. Fruits harvested were still pretty green. There were a few fruits on the ground and in the tree. 2-3 nuts were harvested off the tree.
