Locality: End of Lower Lyndon Street (public boat landing), immediately south of Caribou, Aroostook County.

Environment description: Specimens sampled in woods on flat terrain on the west side of the Aroostook River. Collection site is several (2-3) meters higher in elevation than the river below near a steep incline (45 degrees) at the edge of the river. Growing in association with Populus tremuloides, Pinus strobus, Acer negundo, Cornus sericea, Amelanchier sanguinea, Cornus canadensis, and Sorbus aucuparia.
Number of plants sampled: 15
Comment: Specimens sampled ranged from ca. 1 meter tall to greater than 4 meters tall. Plants had a mix of ripe (dark blue) fruits and unripe (white) fruits. Most plants appeared to be in good health, without obvious insect or disease problems. Several plants at the site had stem dieback symptoms consistent with infection by Cryptodiaporthe corni. Noted approximately 25 specimens.
