Locality: Represents material from multiple areas including Five Ridge Nature Preserve (NE 1/4 of Section 29, T91N, R48W), Mount Talbot Preserve, and along Evergreen Avenue, Plymouth County.

Associated species: Carya cordiformis, Cornus racemosa, Fraxinus pennsylvanica, Quercus macrocarpa, Rhus glabra, Rubus occidentalis, and Schizachyrium scoparium.
Comment: Greatest distance between nine specimens sampled from three collection sites (Five Ridge Nature Preserve (6 specimens sampled), Mount Talbot Preserve (2 specimens sampled), and along Evergreen Ave. just north of Weber Rd./270th St.(one specimen sampled)) was approximately 8.75 miles. Five Ridge Nature Preserve has a relatively healthy and somewhat abundant (approximately 20 fruiting specimens noted) population mostly restricted/localized on Ridge No. 4. Species is essentially rare or absent on the other ridges. Fruits were very close to peak maturity at time of collection, showing dark-pink and reddish tones.
