Locality: Yajiang, E'gu township approxiamtely 38 kilometers south above the Yalong Jiang River, Sichuan Province.
Elevation: 2655m.

Environment description: Roadside. Rocky shale. Full sun, southeast-facing, very steep slope. Growing in association with Quercus, Acer cappadocicum var. sinicum, Acer davidii, Koelreuteria paniculata, Buddleja davidii, and Pinus densata.

Comment: Deciduous tree (6 meters) with compound leaves with five leaflets with serrate margins and yellow petiole.
